More than 600 former and current newsroom staff members attended the event. They came from all over: Denver, Seattle, Detroit, Boston, Dallas, New York, and Lawrence, Kan., and Bangor, Maine. Some even came from the UK and Italy. People who worked at The Post for decades were there, as were some people who worked at the paper for a short time. What they all shared was a desire to thank Don Graham personally and get caught up with old friends and colleagues. Don graciously greeted all comers, staying long after the caterers had packed up and the video of the old family photos had gone dark.

Marvin shot more than 1,000 images at the event, so please be patient if these gallery sites take a while to load, especially if your Internet connection is slow.

The photos are hosted on Shutterfly.com. You have to use the Tribute Pictures direct links above to get to the Shutterfly galleries (best not to use an iPad with Shutterfly). No password is needed, and it’s OK to share the link with other Post employees or alumni. Once there, you can download photos for free. If you want prints or other products, you’ll have to pay Shutterfly for your order.

Shutterfly directions: Click on a link above and a new window (or tab) will open up in that Shutterfly gallery. Double click on the first picture and you will see arrows that enable you to scroll through the gallery images one by one. When you get to a picture you want to download, place the cursor over the image and a pop-up window will appear. Clicking “Download picture” will send the image to the downloads folder on your computer. Download only the images you want because the images are high-resolution and will take up a lot of space. These photo galleries will all stay up online indefinitely.

To share individual photos on Facebook or Twitter, download the photos before sharing on social media sites. Each of Marvin’s galleries contains hundreds of photos, and sharing the link to the whole gallery could cause a traffic jam on Shutterfly. Thanks, and enjoy the images!

If you took pictures or shot videos at the event and would like to share them, we would be delighted to display them on the site for others to see and download. Email Maria Averion, the website designer, to make that happen.
